I've spent part of each year in Nicaragua since 1998. While in Hood River in the summer of 2001 my brother introduced me to kiteboarding. In 2003 my brother and I took our kite gear to Nicaragua and kited together in Lake Nicaragua for the first time. Since then I've had the chance to explore kite spots all along the west coast of Lake Nicaragua and the surrounding fresh water spot.

Panel Replacements
Tuesday, January 4, 2011 3:28:49 PM America/Los_Angeles
We've seen kites that were run over by trains and we've seen kites that were flown into bridges. People damage their kites in some strange ways. But before sending a kite in to the repair loft people usually want to know “is it even repairable?”

Guerrilla style marketing
Friday, October 15, 2010 5:10:23 PM America/Los_Angeles
Inspired by Joel Billhartz who made a VW bug filled with Mt. Dew, we decided to build a 30" diameter leading edge bladder blowing through the roof of an Isuzu Trooper. We then parked the thing in front of the AWSI trade show to get some free advertising. Take a look at the pics and see if we did a good job.........

AMAZING JOB GUYS!!!!!Thank you very much and have a great week-weekend !
This is the response we got after we rebuilt a North Evo with a canopy tear along the leading edge and then front to back to the trailing edge. We were able to match colors with original fabrics and replace the graphics so that the repair was almost invisible. Read MoreHow to Extend the Life of Your Kites

Partial Panel Replacements Always Impress
Wednesday, August 12, 2009 5:00:00 PM America/Los_Angeles
We love it when customers are blown away with the repairs we give them. Seeing as how we've been replacing partial panels and matching graphics since 2000 we sometimes forget just how impressive it is (especially when compared to a tape and sew job that is so often passed off as kite repair).
Hi,
Just wanted to say that you guys have done an OUTSTANDING job repairing the HyperType! When I received the kite, I unrolled it and almost couldn't even figure out where the rip had occurred. The seams are done very professionally, and the black markings on the red panel (to match the pattern on the rest of the kite) really mask the fact that it's a replacement panel!
Will definitely use Airtime again if I have another kite accident, and will also definitely recommend you guys to all of my kiting buddies if their kites are in need of repairs as well.
Thanks again,
Chris

Kite bladder help
Tuesday, June 30, 2009 5:00:00 PM America/Los_Angeles
We find that a lot of customers just need a little advice and then they're ready to tackle bladder issues themselves. Here is one example of a kite owner that needed a little help working up the courage to address an issue in a SPRINT system.
thank you for the advise. I unzipped pulled it out and found a semi circle slit in the bladder the size of a dime. I bet I received it from the factory in this condition, as my other kite bladder repairs were always small holes. Either way I patched, it seemed to hold tight, thank you for the advice as I was hesitant to fool around with it considering it was a sprint system. Todd

thanks again. i had a very sick feeling to my stomach when i saw the kite wrecked, but it turned out to be not that painful.
ORANGE kite bladders are better
Saturday, May 16, 2009 5:00:00 PM America/Los_Angeles
It's hard to quantify certain performance related aspects of our products so we have to let our customers speak for themselves.
Jeff
This is Wade (last name removed). You sent me a bladder for my 10m 09 Rebel to see if it would help stiffen the airframe. After a lot of 30+ wind where I only flew my 7m I have finally got some time on the 10m. Since you sent me the bladder I found out the majority of my problem was solved by pumping the kite harder then the 6psi recommended. However the last time I flew the kite with the stock bladder I experienced the kite making noise while transitioning. It never folded up but made me nervous. Since I installed the Airtime Orange bladder the kite has been rock solid with no fluttering or bucking. My confidence in this kite has been restored which is a good thing when you kite in the red triangle. I believe at least a certain amount of stiffness could be attributed to this bladder. Thanks for everything, Wade
